Pakistan’s DY PM Ishaq Dar insulted in China, getting trolled heavily

Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar’s three-day visit to China came under controversy when he was welcomed in a very dull and insulting manner at the Beijing airport. The kind of diplomatic hospitality that China usually shows to the Deputy PM of any country was completely missing this time. Neither any senior Chinese official was present at the airport nor was there a traditional red carpet welcome.

As soon as Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry posted the video of Ishaq Dar’s arrival in Beijing on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), there was an immediate uproar. Pakistani users called the situation of their own Deputy PM a ‘national shame’. One user sarcastically wrote, “This is how our respect is taken away.” Another said, “When self-respect is mortgaged, it is useless to expect respect.”
